The Washington Square Park Photography Project is a photo documentary surrounding Washington Square Park, located in New York City.

Washington Square Park, one of the most well known parks in the world, is a meeting place and center for cultural activity in the village. This project was initiated in the Spring of 2006 as way to document and share some of the beauty of the park.

All photos contributed to this project have been taken at the park or the streets directly surrounding the parks perimeter.

Project Mission:
1. Capture the beauty and culture of Washington Square Park through photography
2. Promote photographers to get out and shoot and improve their skills
3. Share the results of their work with the community and the world
